Flank Steak Marinade

A make-ahead and freezable delicious marinade for grilling.

Ingredients

Amount Ingredient
1.5 lb Flank Steak
1/4 C Olive Oil
1/2 C Firmly Packed Brown Sugar
1/4 C Balsamic Vinegar
1 T Minced Garlic
1 tsp Ground Ginger

Substitutions:

  • 1 T of fresh minced ginger for the 1 tsp of ground ginger
  • 1/4 C Red Wine for Balsamic Vinegar

Directions

  1. Combine all ingredients (except flank steak) in a bowl.
  2. Pour marinade over steak in a gallon bag and refrigerate at least 4 hours, preferably overnight.

You can also freeze the steak + marinade in the gallon bag for future use. Useful for BOGO sales.
